Cookies
The small files this site keeps in your browser, and what each one is for.
Needed to sign you in
When you sign in, the site keeps a small sign-in session in your browser so you stay signed in as you move between pages. Without it the site cannot tell who you are. It cannot be switched off.
Partner links
If you arrive on a partner's link, we keep a cookie called alc_ref with the partner's code for 90 days. The first link you used is the one that counts. It gives you the partner's discount and credits the partner when you pay.
Your settings
The site remembers small choices in your browser, such as a collapsed sidebar. Your cookie choice is kept in a cookie called alc_consent for one year, so we do not ask you again.
Measuring and ads
PostHog measures how the site is used. The Meta pixel tells Meta when someone who came from our ads signs up or pays. What each is allowed to do depends on your choice below.
Your two choices
Essential only. We count page visits and lesson steps with PostHog without cookies or anything stored in your browser, so each visit is anonymous and not linked to your account. No screen recordings and nothing is sent to Meta. In the EU, the UK and Switzerland, Essential only means no measuring at all. This is also what happens before you choose.
Accept all. PostHog uses cookies to remember your browser between visits and links it to your account when you sign in. It may record screens, with anything you type hidden, and never on checkout, payment, settings or admin pages. The Meta pixel tells Meta when someone who came from our ads signs up or pays.
Either way, our server tells PostHog about payments, refunds and certificates, linked to your account, so those numbers are exact, and we collect error reports so we can fix what breaks. Neither uses cookies. PostHog does not keep visitors' IP addresses.
